Communion

Communion (or “The Lord’s Supper”) is how churches everywhere around the world remember the most important event in history–God’s love for us, shown by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.   At Birch Cove Baptist Church, we believe that you don’t have to be perfect, or a formal member of our church to take part in this celebration.  Instead, we encourage you to consider that Jesus, the Son of God, died for us.  If you’re not quite ready to believe that yet, feel free not to take part in this celebration.

We usually observe Communion on the first Sunday of every month.  At that time, we also give people an opportunity to joyfully share a special “love offering” that goes directly to various projects to meet different needs (from homeless shelters to natural disaster relief).
